Job Description:

Seeking energetic and engaging Adjunct Faculty to teach the Medical Administrative Assistant curriculum. The Adjunct Faculty member will deliver a Medical Administrative Assistant curriculum that prepares students for a variety of administrative support positions in the health care field and to successfully pass a national medical administrative assistant and electronic health record specialist exams. Successful candidates must demonstrate sensitivity to the needs of a diverse population and have the ability to work effectively with students who have barriers to employment.  Specify day/evening availability.


Requirements:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:  A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree is required. A minimum of one year of practical experience in a healthcare setting performing office and customer service tasks. Experience teaching adult learners and at-risk populations; experience teaching remotely; experience using an LMS and Google Classrooms; excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication and presentation skills are required. The successful candidate must be highly organized and detail oriented.  

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:  A minimum of three years of employment in a healthcare facility is strongly preferred.


Additional Information:

HOURLY RATE OF PAY: $55.61 per hour. No benefits.

POSITION EFFECTIVE:  Spring 2023
