Seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow in Computational Biology

About the position:

Are you passionate about advancing cancer genomics and diabetes research through advanced computational methods and modeling? A unique opportunity awaits you in the Division of Hematology/Oncology under the guidance of Dr. Changde Cheng. We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to contribute to innovative research that could shape the future of cancer and metabolic diseases.

  • Qualifications: Ph.D. or M.D. degree
  • Experience: Proven track record of research productivity and quality, demonstrated through first-author publications in high-impact journals or significant contributions to large genomics projects.
  • Educational Background: Ph.D. in quantitative fields such as computational biology, population genetics/genomics, statistics, mathematics, physics, computer science & related fields. Strong candidates from wet-lab or M.D. backgrounds with a keen interest in developing advanced quantitative skills are also encouraged to apply.

As a Postdoctoral Fellow, you will:

  • Develop innovative computational and statistical methodologies for analyzing single-cell genomics, single-cell RNA-seq, spatial, and multi-omic data.
  • Develop novel approaches to represent large-scale genomic data and integrate data from different modalities.
  • Work closely with our collaborators in the Stem Cell Program to advance our understanding of the origin and development of cancer, resistance to treatment and metabolic diseases.

Compensation: Base pay commensurate with experience.
