Job Description:
Provide one-on-one culturally relevant mental health and wellness services through 30 minute 1:1 check-ins, assessing the mental health needs of students and developing a brief plan of intervention.
Provide services for walk-ins and provide crisis intervention, when necessary.
Offer group psycho-educational and informational workshops and spaces with a focus on trauma, stress, anxiety, and other mental health and wellness topics relevant to the LGBTQIA2S+ community.
Coordinate and maintain relationships with community mental health and wellness organizations that serve LGBTQIA2S+ communities and our diverse student identities.
Coordinate in-reach wellness activities and develop mental health content for LGBTQIA2S+ social media accounts that advertise Queer & Trans mental health services.
Compile data on students at the end of each semester to contribute to annual reporting.
Attend and participate in program and department meetings.
Additional duties as assigned.

Primary Purpose:
This position works with the LGBTQIA2S+ Resource Program housed under the Student Development and Engagement department to provide psychoeducation for LGBTQIA2S+ students at Fullerton College.
- 15-20 hours per week pending budget.
- Typical business hours Monday - Friday from 8am - 5pm based on program needs.
- This position works 38.5 weeks in an academic year.
- Ability to work primarily in-person, as directed by the district.

Special Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
Masters degree from an accredited institution in clinical psychology, counseling psychology, social work, marriage and family therapy, or marriage, family and child counseling or equivalent.

Knowledge of or experience working with the LGBTQIA2S+ community and familiarity with mental health issues of particular relevance to LGBTQIA2S+ people.
Ability to relate in a non-judgmental and respectful manner to LGBTQIA2S+ individuals experiencing a wide variety of emotional and behavioral challenges.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with people of diverse races, ethnicities, nationalities, neurodivergence, sexual orientations, gender identities, gender expression, socio-economic backgrounds, religions, ages, English-speaking abilities, immigration status, and physical abilities in a multicultural environment.
Knowledge of harm-reduction, and trauma-informed care principles.
Experience providing LGBTQIA2S+ centered mental health processing spaces and wellness programs to groups.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including strong organizational and interpersonal skills with a high level of attention to detail.
Leadership skills evidenced by ability to work independently and coordinate the successful completion of projects.
Ability to relate in a non-judgmental and respectful manner to LGBTQIA2S+ individuals experiencing a wide variety of emotional and behavioral challenges.

Salary Range: $45/hour
