Senior Research Administrative Professional/Program Manager
Job Description
The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) has a potential need for a Senior Research Administrative Professional (Program Manager) to support our government customer located in San Diego, California.
DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide administrative support during the Strategic Plan development for furthering the basic and applied research and development agenda. The services include but are not limited to the following: Assist the government with preparation of command meetings and help with the development of program reviews. Assist in drafting high-level briefings in accordance with Command policy and format. Assist in the review of scientific program documentation, program/project planning methods, and proposed technology (in a supportive role only). Make recommendations for scientific program/project improvement.
- Provide program integrations services to assist in the development and performance of tasks needed to meet the objectives and strategies of the Command.
- Assist the government with program execution and analytical disciplines to support Principal Investigators (PIs) with project and operational functions.
- Provide support services in writing and preparation of medical, technical and scientific Command documents for publication on web pages, in technical reports, in presentations, and in scientific journals for distribution.
- Provide facilitation services to assist with the performance of tasks needed to meet command objectives and strategies.
- Provide recommendations to management for policy formulation and assist with the organization of communication strategies, programs and materials.
- Responsible for coordinating communications and events with a focus on facilitating and strengthening collaboration between the Naval Health Research Center (NHRC) and various government and non-government entities on militarily relevant research opportunities, technologies, and innovations.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
- Bachelor's degree in health promotion, public health, psychology, community health nursing or a health-related profession
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a health research environment.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience with grant requests and research administration.
- Knowledge and experience assisting with coordinating site visits to track and analyze programs.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience developing and analyzing needs assessments for program planning, assessing health status, identifying health risks, identifying resources, cost containment, and establishing priorities for disease prevention.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience organizing and participating in multidisciplinary teams that assess risk, conduct needs assessments, analyze data, develop content for educational programs, draft policy guidance, and analyze outcome measures.
- Effective communication and public speaking skills.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience with designing, facilitating, and conducting tasker responses.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience with gathering and analyzing quantitative and qualitative data and developing administrative reports and recommendations.
- Willing to sign a Non-Disclosure agreement.
REQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE:
- Must be U.S. Citizen
- Must be able to pass a tier 1 background investigation.
