Director, Philanthropic Due Diligence

Job Description

DIRECTOR OF PHILANTHROPIC DUE DILIGENCE, Prospect Development, is responsible for the overall leadership of the Philanthropic Due Diligence (PDD) function including management of the PDD team, processes, research, vendors, products, and communication; and identifying, conducting, and delivering high-level due diligence research and materials for key entities, charged with assessing MIT’s possible legal or reputation risks due to philanthropic engagement or gift acceptance.

Job Requirements:

REQUIRED: Bachelor's degree; a minimum of five years of prospect development or similar experience; a minimum of two years of supervisory experience; successful strategic planning, goal setting, and demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team; superior interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills (written and oral); able to analyze and synthesize complex and sensitive information; able to multi-task, be detail-oriented, prioritize assignments, and meet deadlines, without compromising quality, in a demanding, high-volume work environment; able to proffer innovated solutions or negotiate outcomes for a population that may possess competing interests, opinions, or expectations; able to both work independently and contribute value in cross-collaborative teams; demonstrated ability to work with confidential information; an enthusiastic commitment to MIT’s Advancement and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE&I) priorities; possess advanced technical skills; and proficiency with computers and standard applications (including Microsoft Word, Excel, outlook, Zoom, and PowerPoint).
