This is a full-time, salaried Manager role based at Scripps Mercy Hospital San Diego and Scripps Mercy Hospital Chula Vista.

As the Manager of Epidemiology, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of infection control and clinical epidemiology at Scripps Mercy Hospital San Diego. Your responsibilities will include implementing, managing, and continuously improving our infection control program to ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and best practices.
Working closely with corporate leadership, you will stay at the forefront of emerging healthcare trends, ensuring the hospital remains prepared for GACH surveys and Joint Commission accreditation. Your expertise will be crucial in driving infection prevention initiatives, assessing risks, and enhancing patient safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the infection control program, ensuring strict adherence to policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with leadership to identify, evaluate, and apply new trends in clinical epidemiology.
- Ensure hospital readiness for regulatory surveys and accreditation processes.
- Provide leadership to interdisciplinary teams, fostering a culture of safety and accountability.

Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:
- Bachelor's degree.
- Two (2) years clinical epidemiology experience in a health care setting.
Required Certification/Registration:
- Certified Infection Control and Epidemiology (CIC) or CIC certification obtained within two years of assuming position.
Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:
- Master's degree preferred.
- Two years management experience in clinical epidemiology in health care highly preferred.
