DESCRIPTION

This is a pool of applicants for any substitute, part-time hourly, temporary positions that may become available in the Physical Education and Athletics Department at Napa Valley College. Applications submitted to this temporary pool will be screened by the Office of Human Resources, Training & Development for minimum qualifications.  These temporary positions are at-will employment.
 
Possible positions that may fall under this Physical Education and Athletics temporary pool are:

  • Assistant Coach ($16.00)
  • Athletic Event Staff ($16.00)
  • Athletic Trainer ($23.06)
The job descriptions for each job title are:
 
  • Assistant Coach - This position as an Assistant Coach is responsible for assisting in the development, coaching, organization and management of the intercollegiate athletic program.
  • Athletic Event Staff - The position of Athletic Event Staff is responsible for assisting athletic staff in administering athletic events.
  • Athletic Trainer – The position of Athletic Trainer requires certification by the National Athletic Trainers' Association Board of Certification (NATABOC) and is responsible for assisting the Head Athletic Trainer in maintaining the health and welfare of the students engaging in intercollegiate athletics including, but not limited to: 
(1) injury prevention, 
(2) injury recognition and treatment, 
(3) physician referral, and 
(4) other duties associated with student health in compliance with California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) and Napa Valley College requirements.
