We are looking for a Business Development Officer in San Diego, CA .
Essential Functions :
- Responsible for sourcing and developing prospects, new clients and selling business banking services and products.
- Responsible for developing sales strategies and expanding referral sources.
- Passes off prospects to Business Banking Relationship managers to close relationship.
- Responsible for gathering data to be used in selling process, participating in community organizations and activities, and assisting prospective clients in completing loan and services applications.
- Incumbents do not have responsibility for maintaining on-going relationships.
- May supervise or lead lower level BDO's.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Requires a Bachelors in Business, Finance or a related field and 2+ yrs experience in business development, sales, loans, banking/finance products and services or other directly related experience. A combination of education and experience may meet job requirements.
- Working knowledge of sales techniques, business development, banking/finance products and services.
- Must have solid customer service and negotiation skills.
- Solid communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Solid problem resolution and presentation skills.
- Ability to work with internal staff on relationships.
- Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and general PC's skills.

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $120,000 - $130,000 annually depending on job-related factors such as level of experience.
